The Republican Party of India (Athawale) – RPI(A) is a national political party committed to advancing the principles of social justice, equality, liberty, dignity and inclusive development.
The party is led by Hon’ble Shri Ramdas Athawale, National President and Union Minister of State, Government of India.
RPI(A) carries forward the vision and ideals associated with Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, particularly his commitment to constitutional democracy, equality, social justice and the empowerment of historically marginalized communities.

Our Historical Roots
RPI(A) belongs to the broader Republican political tradition inspired by the thoughts and constitutional vision of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar. The Republican movement emerged from the struggle for equality, representation and social justice, and continues to uphold the values of democracy, fraternity and constitutionalism.
The party’s social justice movement also draws inspiration from the struggles for dignity and equality represented by movements such as the Dalit Panthers.

At the national level, RPI(A) is an ally of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA). In Maharashtra
